Attention all Artists:: Join the Celebrate Haiti Poster Project
The project is quite simple. We hope to have children learn about Haiti through art. It is a poster-making project and teaches children how art can play an important part in raising awareness for people less fortunate than themselves. We are coming up on the two year anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti and we hope to share the posters with children in Haiti. We want them to know that they are not forgotten and that their strength and determination is something that we celebrate. We are asking Girl Scouts to use their talents to stand up, remember, and celebrate Haiti by designing posters. There is only one rule. Somewhere on each poster there should be three words: Remember. Celebrate. Haiti. Use these words in any way, the possibilities are endless. Draw, design, paint, collage, or map. Write a story or a poem. Whatever the method, kids of all ages can use their creativity to commemorate and celebrate Haiti. Learn more about this project by going to this link:
